Good Morning. It is God who sent us into the world to preach the - TopicsExpress

Good Morning. It is God who sent us into the world to preach the everlasting gospel. This is the only way the words from our mouth will have a positive effect on those who hear them. When confronted by church leaders in John 7 Jesus reminded them of the source of His words. Reflect for a moment on the words of Jesus in verse 16. “Jesus answered them, and said, My doctrine is not mine, but his that sent me.” This morning the Lord is reminding us to depend on Him for the words that we will say to those who are living in sin. This is the only way we will be effective witnesses for Him. Too many times we allow ourselves to speak our own words. Too many times we allow ourselves to focus on our own opinion. Instead of consulting the Lord when we find others challenging us, we steak our own words in defense of our position. Sometimes when we read the story of Jesus we feel that He had some special power that allowed Him to have the correct response to every question. Yes. Jesus had special power that resulted from the close connection that He had with the Holy Spirit. We must remember that Jesus laid down His divinity. So it was His constant communion with the Holy Spirit that allowed Him to speak words of wisdom. This is why He could say that the words He spoke came from the one who sent Him. This morning the Lord is reminding us to continue to stay connected with the Holy Spirit so that we can speak the word of God to those who are in our sphere of influence. Let us continue to allow the Lord to send us to speak His word. So Send I You - https://youtube/watch?v=MSNnFLVrgbc Have a blessed and Holy Spirit-filled day.
