Good Morning, It is tough to see those we love go through - TopicsExpress

Good Morning, It is tough to see those we love go through hardship, torment and struggle. Often times we can see the way out but they cannot. But what about you, when you are struggling with a problem or are faced with a potentially life changing event that is about to unfold before your eyes. What do you do? Most of us, including myself, would quietly admit that we pull into ourselves, we distance ourselves from family, friends, our spouses etc. Some may become depressed, angry even, bitter or resentful. These are normal emotions however if you and I have faith in God, why do we turn into ourselves? There is no comfort there if there was we would not feel so alone and lost in those moments of struggle right? Well the Apostle Paul was tormented too and he had struggles just like the rest of us and he gives us excellent guidance on where to find shelter, seek comfort and be at peace. The scripture selection reflects Paul’s direction and it is something we all should look at with open eyes and an open heart. We do not need to struggle or fret over so many things. Sure it may look hopeless but where is faith in hopelessness? I can tell you, there isn’t any. So take a moment to call out to the Lord, ask Him to reveal His plan in whatever you are dealing with or facing right now and listen. You have to be quiet in order to hear His reply. Oh and patience is also an important part of this as well. We are so used to getting it now, wanting it now and expecting to see a change RIGHT NOW. That is not realistic and does not always happen. Relax, put your head on Jesus’ chest, wrap your arms around His strong neck and feel His breath on your face as He leads, guides and protects you from this world and from yourself. What a glorious and fantastic place to be . . . sitting in the lap of your Father. Have a blessed day and know that Jesus does love you and is looking out and working it all out for you according to His will for your life. Much love, Jerri 2 Corinthians 12:10 The Message (MSG) 7-10 Because of the extravagance of those revelations, and so I wouldn’t get a big head, I was given the gift of a handicap to keep me in constant touch with my limitations. Satan’s angel did his best to get me down; what he in fact did was push me to my knees. No danger then of walking around high and mighty! At first I didn’t think of it as a gift, and begged God to remove it. Three times I did that, and then he told me, My grace is enough; it’s all you need. My strength comes into its own in your weakness. Once I heard that, I was glad to let it happen. I quit focusing on the handicap and began appreciating the gift. It was a case of Christ’s strength moving in on my weakness. Now I take limitations in stride, and with good cheer, these limitations that cut me down to size—abuse, accidents, opposition, bad breaks. I just let Christ take over! And so the weaker I get, the stronger I become.
