Good Morning Kirkwood! 0745 Update: It is still snowing here at Kirkwood. 4-5 overnight & about an inch since 5am have us right in that 5-6 of new snow range. Temps are currently 29 here at the base & 24 up top w/ winds out of the S at 16mph. Mtn teams are currently working their routes assessing the mountain conditions and conducting snow safety work, at this point we scheduled to turn our front side 6 lifts @ 9am (Chairs 1, 5,6,10,11 and tow 8) but the possibility for snow safety holds does exist. Well keep the website and social channels updated as we learn more. Road conditions as reported by CalTrans at 0730 have both SR 88 & 89 under R2 Chain Controls. On mtn dining today will consist of Monte Wolfes in the Village Plaza and the General Store located in the Red Cliffs Lodge. Ski & Ride School lessons are also available out of Expedition: Kirkwoood, located across the street from Chair 6. I just had a chance to take a quick jaunt around the resort & was pleasantly surprised at how good the snow quality is.
