Good Morning Mississippi! Hopefully you got to get out and enjoy the ideal, springlike weather we saw this past weekend! The sun was shining, the flowers were blooming and the birds might have even been chirping. Unfortunately, this impeccable weather wont last forever. Clouds return this afternoon, all ahead of our next chance for rain which will pull into the area by late this evening and through your Tuesday. I expect that roughly half of us will see the rain showers totaling about 0.10-0.25 by Wednesday morning. Expect skies to clear out quickly through the middle of this week, allowing temperatures to rise back into the mid-80s! Yes, were looking at a mid-week scorcher across Central Mississippi. Those warmer temperatures are going to help fuel a more active weather pattern as we head into the late week and this coming weekend. Well see a very good chance for strong storms and heavier rain by next Monday, the 28th. Its a ways away, but its worth watching. Enjoy your Monday everyone! -Brad Maushart WJTV
