Good Morning (Now Afternoon) Parents!!! Long story short, we have a tournament tomorrow! The official tournament website is: ayso4u.org/tournament/ First, im sending this to all parents because I still have the ability to add/change teams up until tomorrow morning at 7am. IF your child can make it and you didnt sign up, please call me tonight and we can still get him onto one of the teams. Second off, thank you all for helping and bringing your kids to this really fun tournament... Logistics: I will be at the fields around 7am tomorrow to get my teams registered and to begin setting up camp. I will take any help then to assist both setting up our camp but also setting up Goals and the rest of the facility. Perks include, a parking close to the fields and the opportunity to watch the sun rise. I will be coaching back to back games from my first game at 8:30am till my last game at 4:30 (assuming everyone wins and goes to finals). I will designate one parent (or set of parents) to manage each team. I will give that parent both a walkie talkie and my cell phone number so we can keep track of each other during the games. Each team is to be at their designated field 10-15 min prior to the start of their game, so if your game begins at 9am, be there by 8:45 to be ready to start by 9. Everyone needs to be at the fields 30 min before your FIRST game so that you can find the camp, drop off your stuff and meet the team. I would prefer that the team shows up at the fields as a team with the parents. Games: As I mentioned, each game is 12 min halves, 24 min total. The time slots for games are only 30 min so there is only a 8 min passing period between games on each field with only 5 min grace period. After 5 min, the game will be forfeited. Games are pool play so we are guaranteed 3 games regardless of our record. IF we win all 3 of our games, we move onto the Semi-Finals. IF we win that, we move onto the Finals. IF we loose that we move down to the 3rd/4th place game. Rules: Please have the kids read the rules from beginning to end. ayso4u.org/tournament/2013/2013Rulesfor3v3.pdf One key thing is that any yellow or red cards add up so if a kid gets 1 yellow card per game, by the 3rd game he is ejected from the game and the rest of the tournament. What to bring: Chairs to sit on, blankets or tarps to lay on/cover up with, cards or easily portable games to play between games, food and snacks, sack lunches, etc... Bring a cup or a reusable bottle. I will bring my large green coolers with water and lemonade. IF a parent has a battery power radio they would like to bring, feel free... Feel free to bring other things that will be beneficial. I would love for each of the teams to get together and discuss food options as a team since most of the teams will be playing and enjoying lunch at different times. I have attached the contact sheets for each team so you parents can do it. (For the teams my boys are on, please dont count on me for much in this arena). There will be some food vendors at the facility, so bring cash regardless... Teams: U12 Team1 - 4B1 - Twins, Ryan & Keegan U12 Team2 - 4B6 - John, John & Graham U10 Team1 - 5B1 - Andrew, Evan, Dawson, Eli, Nick U10 Team2 - 5B6 - Ian, Tyler, George, Kaiden, Henry Schedule IS: U12 Team1 - 4B1 - 8:30a (H Field), 10:45a (H Field), 1:10p (H Field) U12 Team2 - 4B6 - 9:30a (H Field), 11:45a (H Field), 1:10p (G Field) U12 Semi Finals: 2:30p (G&H Fields) U12 Third Place & Finals: 3:50p (G&H Fields) U10 Team1 - 5B1 - 9:00a (H Field), 11:15a (H Field), 1:50p (E Field SW) U10 Team2 - 5B6 - 10:15a (H Field), 12:40a (H Field), 1:50p (F Field SE) U10 Semi Finals: 3:10p (G&H Fields) U10 Third Place & Finals: 4:30p (G&H Fields) Facility: We are playing at AYSO Region 105 located between 45th st and 47th st South 1/4 mile East of Median. I have attached/included a picture showing the field layout. ALL of the U12 games and all but 1/ea of the U10 games will be played on the Orange H and Blue G fields. My plan is to setup camp along that southern tree row. If the wind is from the North, then we will be close to the parking lot, if the wind is from the South, then closer to the fields. IF the wind is east/west, well then we are SOL. The parking there is VERY LIMITED. IF you want a good space in that south lot, then get there early and stay there! IF not, then you will need to park along 45th st, the church across 45th, Cessna Elementary or park at Sedgwick county soccer association across 47th (IF their lot is open). Regardless, if your not there early, be prepared to walk. IF we can work together, we can doublepark our cars and fit more in. I know I wont be leaving anytime soon. There will be almost 30 teams playing on those two south fields so we will all need to squeeze in there. Inline image 1 Lastly guys, have fun! I look forward to seeing everyone tomorrow! Text me if you need to when you get there to find me or the facility, 316-807-4987. Coach Anthony
