Good Morning Pack, I still remember the day when Subhajit - TopicsExpress

Good Morning Pack, I still remember the day when Subhajit (Papai most familiar) mailed me and introduced to G’Star for the first time, joined as a 18th member of the group, I was always fascinated with the development G’star shown and the faces behind it. Always wished for a day when I can join shoulders with you and feel the taste of taking part in G’star field activities. Got a nice chance and enjoyed thoroughly that (Drawing competition) day. I have never been a part of any AGMs so far and/or any official meetings, though I read the MOMs as and when it happened. I wanted to draw attention on few things to the Governing body but as Subhajit suggested I am posting it in G’star community wall. I will try to make it as simple as possible. First of all, to build a stronger community/ organization there has to be a code of conduct in place and abiding by it. See pals as we have started it with a right spirit we need to take it through to the next generation and so on. We are growing, fellow members are joining in from different backgrounds, lots of activities are happening and a secure future, all these need a sound, realistic and fair code of conduct. I understood that the same is in process but I urge you to take it in a do-it-today approach. Guys be strictly professional and keep your other emotions out while taking a step towards a better G’star. We call it a ‘child’ in our official manifesto, so let’s mean it. Secondly being a group we all know that best efforts can come only if we all join our hands in a systematic way. There should be a proper entry and exit (if anybody has to) for all the G’star members and honorary members/ founder members. From my experience I can say if a founder member (or any member) is living the organization, without any proper reason (and scrutiny) then it is a major setback for the organization. We can’t let that happen. Same way while making an entry to guiding star should follow a basic discussion with the would-be member just to make him familiar with the responsibilities, faces and culture that we follow. We can’t afford to have loose ends if we future a strong work force. Fellows we forecast, we prepare budget, we fix time, we have audit, there are so many things to do, each and everybody is responsible and important here. Please extend yourself to any kind of contribution, talk to the working committee, keep in touch with them, ask what help they want, stay aware of the future activities, rather than just transferring money and feel responsibility is over. Friends’, choosing a path shows your intent but continuing in the same path shows your respect towards the intent. I know we all are busy in our own way but 100+ strong group should not strive to generate work forces when needed. Keep in touch with the people deeply involved and try to help them at least twice in a year with the field activities. Show your right intent I am sure you will get time. I consider my-self also in the receiving end and will do my part, I am confident so as you. Any comments, views are more than welcome, needless to say. My Best wishes to Guiding star.
