Good Morning Precious Saints 2 Chron 25:1,2 1 Amaziah was twenty and five years old when he began to reign, and he reigned twenty and nine years in Jerusalem. And his mothers name was Jehoaddan of Jerusalem. 2 And he did that which was right in the sight of the Lord, but not with a perfect heart. WORD The hebrew of the phrase perfect heart levav shalem. It means undivided devotion, unconditional commitment, to be wholehearted, unswerving passion, resolute loyalty. A perfect heart has only one direction, one dedication, one motivation. In other words, where it is going, the way it is going, and why it is going, are all one. What Amaziah did is one of the greatest deceptions of the enemy. It is to attempt to please God and the flesh at the same time. It is a lukewarm spirit. Christians who are in this frame are one leg in, one leg out. They walk in obedience by convenience. A levav shalem emphasizes the condition of your heart in the act of obedience. Amaziah did what God wanted but not how God wanted it. He didnt disobey God, yet he didnt obey God. For example, you truly love Jesus, but your dressing promotes the devil. Yes, you give your tithe, but you give your offering as if you are dropping change for a beggar by the roadside. Such attitude is pregnant with disaster. The best solution is repentance. Lets repent of our ways of doing His will, and pleasing God on our own terms. It will not work. Therefore, I pray that the Lord will conduct a divine corrective surgery on your heart in service to Him! In Jesus name!
