Its Saturday the 24th day of Janurary 2015. *************************************************************************** Weather Forcast *************************************************************************** There is an upper level low, currently located over the Darling Downs, it will continue to weaken and move east-southeastwards and offshore overnight into Saturday. A broad trough will remain over the interior of Queensland. Another complex trough near the coast of southeastern Queensland will consolidate into a small low and move eastwards away from the coast overnight into Saturday. Now there will be showers, rain areas and isolated thunderstorms over the southeast corner, and also over northern Cape York Peninsula. A slight to medium chance of showers and storms over the the southern coastal tropics, central interior and southern interior. Fine and mostly clear over the far west. Moderate north to northwesterly winds over the tropics, tending east to southeasterly over the south. ----------------------------------------------- Australian Synoptic Chart Summary ----------------------------------------------- There is a low and trough will continue to linger over eastern QLD, NSW, VIC and TAS causing widespread showers and scattered storms. A trough in the northwest will filter very hot air as well as trigger thundery showers.
