Good Morning Reactors, The question bought up on this video was whether an unarmed individual pose no threat? Well that depends on the police-person assessment and actions to control the the scene. Whats wrong with the this picture? Q&A: Was the officer properly trained in handling these types of situation? Police know that when pulling over a vehicle, the driver and passengers must remain seated in the car, its the primary purpose in avoiding potential threats to the officer and bystanders. Answer. No. In the case where the driver is out of the car, the police officer should have immediately asked the driver to get in the car before any further actions was taken. Was that done? No. Was the officer too close to the driver? As noted in the video, Yes. But not only was she too close to the driver but also had her back turned to other potential passengers in the car behind her. Did the officer properly assess and acted to control of the situation? Absolutely not. She was lucky the driver didnt take her jun and shoot her. However, to answer the imposed questions on this post, which I suspect was intended to be the question on whether lethal force by the police officer is warranted, the answer there is absolutely no. Futher, police shootings only show a serious lack of training to assess and control potentially dangerous situations or some form of direct confrontation to incite a loss of control. Have a great day.
