Good Morning. Sip. Well, we have another meeting with our builder today about the remodel. Praying that all goes well with that. And .... its Earth Day. In a disposable society we need to go back to the Old Ways. The quote about Earth Day that I saw said Respect, Recycle, Reuse. Ive been doing that all my life. 1. Respect means Take Care of Your Stuff and it will Last Longer. Keep it clean, keep it in good repair. Use it carefully. 2 Recycle means Give it to Someone Else when Youre Done With it. We always had hand me downs. Since I was the oldest I didnt have too many of those from other people .... but I did have a few from my mom and Aunt Jessie. I dont believe in throwing stuff away if someone else might want it. 3. Reuse means If you cant give it Away to Someone Else then use it for another Purpose. No cloth would go into the trash. When it was worn slap dab totally OUT, it was cut up into rags for cleaning. Mother saved her butter tubs ( yes, this is where I get it from ). I mean .... why go to the store and BUY containers for leftovers when a butter tub works just as well? We reused stuff so much that it might go through three different life purposes before it was ever thrown away. Do I recycle my household waste? Not as much as I should and I will strive to do better. :) Yall have a good day! Now .... I need more coffee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
