Good Morning. The Bible is very clear that marriage is between one male and one female. In Mark 10:6-9 Jesus said, “6 But from the beginning of the creation God made them male and female.7 For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and cleave to his wife;8 And they twain shall be one flesh: so then they are no more twain, but one flesh.9 What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.” It is so interesting how our world has become so warped. Mankind is no longer interested in obeying the commands of God. When you read carefully the scriptures God provides two reasons for marriage. Reason 1 – (Gen. 2: 24 Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.) – What does “one flesh” mean? God want mankind through marriage to experience the same kind of unity that exists in the Godhead. Reason 2 – (Gen. 1:22 - And God blessed them, saying, Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let fowl multiply in the earth.) Through marriage mankind will partner with God in the procreation of other human beings. These are the two fundamental reasons provided by the scripture. But we have added so many other reasons which have shift our focus from the real reasons God gave mankind the institution of marriage. This morning the Lord is reminding us to go back to the sacred scriptures and following the instructions there. Obedience will lead to eternal life. This institution of marriage will provide several important benefits to our walk with God. Let us continue to obey His commands and stop listening to the cunning devices of mankind. These devices are aim at deceiving us. A Love Like This - https://youtube/watch?v=Rgu3ADZc5P8 I pray that we will continue to allow the Love of God to shine forth from within our hearts. Have a blessed and Holy Spirit-filled day.
