Good Morning. The Bible says: I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth. He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber. (Psalms 121:1-3 KJV) When trust is essential, its essential that the one you trust is deserving of that trust. Need an illustration? Heres one. I had an old pickup. It wasnt a sissy truck... It wasnt a stranger to the mud & dirt you put a good ol work truck through. It had one of those spare tires that was secured to the bottom of the truck bed. Out of sight, out of the way, out of mind... But its there, in your mind, if you ever needed it. But one day after a real good workout the day before I went out in a hurry to get to a job when I discovered I had a flat tire. Of course I yelled SHAME ON THE DEVIL!. Then my mind went to that good ol spare tire, tucked conveniently in under that truck bed. But to my dismay, upon retrieving the spare out of the carriage I found that trusty ol spare tire --was flat!! I repeated my Statement!! SHAME ON THE DEVIL!! In a more serious thought... When your never dying soul and eternity is at stake, it is most important that the one you depend on is worthy of that trust. And JESUS is the trusted one. He wont leave you afoot. No flats here. What a comfort to know. Have a Heavenly Day.
