Good Morning! Today is a good day to provide you with some of the inner workings of the doctors office. Pediatric offices are typically full of a weekends worth of children on Mondays, so it is often a good plan to schedule well checks or routine care for Tuesdays through Friday. Also, we have had two callers in the past week who were disappointed that they were offered an appointment in one hour. Stating that was not soon enough, they opted to go to urgent care or a local ER. While we would love to be able to provide everyone the chance to come over in 30 minutes, the logistics of scheduling do not permit this. Frankly, we suspect these folks waited longer to see an urgent care doc than they would have waited to see us. The added bonus of keeping your childs medical care all in one place might make us worth the wait. ;) Now is the time to schedule your childs summer camp or sports physical. As the summer proceeds, our available slots fill. It is next to impossible to do an emergency sports physical in August, because two-a-day football practice starts tomorrow. Rather than scrambling at the last minute, call us this week to schedule an appointment. Of note, many insurance companies will only pay for a well check every 366 days, so our staff is instructed to help you by making sure it has been a full year since the last well check.
