Good Morning!! What we believe matters, but of course, some - TopicsExpress

Good Morning!! What we believe matters, but of course, some beliefs will always matter more than others. While our beliefs will have greater or lesser earthly consequences, none of them matter more than our beliefs in God. Throughout Scripture, belief in God is directly tied to the most valued aspects of our existence, to things like joy, peace, and purpose. What does Scripture say? Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness. — Romans 4: 3 (NIV) Its interesting to note here that Abrahams righteousness did not come just from a belief in God. Abraham didnt just believe that God existed, he actually believed what God had told him. Thats a subtle, but powerful distinction, that has led to big transformation in many peoples lives. Even Abraham, the father of faith, at times found it hard to accept that the God of Everything, would take care of him, a nobody. O God, we dont want to just believe that You exist. We want to believe what You have been revealed through the Bible. Speak to us clearly through Your living Word so that we can know what is true about You, so that we can then know You more intimately, on a real and personal level. Amen. Contentment is not possessing everything, but giving thanks for everything you possess.
