Good Morning and Happy New Year to all JOD members! A quick message to the other administrators: be careful in approving requests to join the Group. Some of the requests are from fake FB accounts and these accounts, once approved, account for almost all of the Spam and advertising that appears on the Group pages. My not-so-stringent personal policy is to check if the prospective member is a brand-new account with little information -- this usually indicates a fake, especially if it is a female name and photo but the gender references are all male. Also, I click on the name and see if there is any connection with Jupiter, past or present. If it is a business account with national reach it is most likely joining just to post ads that have nothing to do with local businesses. In these type of cases, I just click the Ignore button. Thanks for allowing me to suggest this and to be an administrator for the Group. This page, by far, is the most interesting local page I have seen in my FB meanderings.
