Good Morning to all Cadets, Family, Chiefs, Officers, and Firefighters that may have found their way to our page. The 2014 OYFETA began today with the checking in, and moving into the dorms. We will try our best to keep you up to date with the happenings of camp throughout the week. As I write this, the cadets and staff are winding down from the day and preparing for the first day of classroom work in a few hours. Thank you to Vicki Miller for her tireless work and effort put forth in making the registration and check-in process as smooth as possible. Thanks to Joan Wolfe, and Residence Life Staff at Hocking College for making the move into the dorms seem effortless. We are fortunate for the support staff that we have to make the behind the scenes work flow more easily. During the check in today, we have a few parents and staff inquire about visiting during the week to take photographs for their department. We welcome these visits to camp, although we ask a few rules be followed for the safety of the students, staff, as well as the visitor: Rule #1: If you visit, we ask that you check in with the a member of the Senior staff upon arrival and leaving campus for the visit. We need to know who is supposed to be around, and who isnt. We want to ensure a safe learning environment for all involved. Rule #2: If you wish to observe any activity on the training ground, we ask that helmets be brought and worn for your safety. Not only is the a rule for our staff and students, but it is a Hocking College rule on the training ground. As always if you have any questions, feel free to ask. Be Safe.
