Good Morning to all my friends. This is another day that God has given us, let us be glad and rejoice in it. My prayer for you is that God will bless each of you today and give you His peace and His comfort in all that you do. Todays Challenge ------------------- Avoid Foolish Arguments But avoid foolish controversies and genealogies and arguments and quarrels about the law, because these are unprofitable and useless. Titus 3:9 There have been many times during my life, where I have witnessed Christians, getting into debates and arguments about the Bible. I have even seen churches become divided, and families stop speaking to each other, because of their differences in interpretations of what scriptures are saying. God is very specific in His word about what we are to do in these circumstances, as indicated in the scripture above. The Bible goes on to say in the next verse to warn a divisive person once, and then warn him a second time. After that have nothing to do with him. It is difficult for some people to give up on what they believe, but God does not want people to become enemies because of their beliefs, as these are unprofitable and useless. When differences arise, and they surely will, each person needs to seek Gods wisdom by studying their Bible, and discern for themselves what is right. Arguments are foolish, and many times trying to justify your own beliefs, will make things worse. Make your point clearly, and give justification why you think it is the right point, but then be willing to agree to disagree if it is not accepted. There is nothing gained by ruining a friendship, or creating further animosity by your stubbornness. I would encourage each of you today to access your own life, to see if you are guilty of letting your own beliefs be a stumbling block for others. God does not want you to become an obstacle for others, but rather be an encourager. If you are guilty of unnecessary arguments and quarrels, ask God for forgiveness.
