Good Morning to everyone... We might get a chance to dry out. - TopicsExpress

Good Morning to everyone... We might get a chance to dry out. The rain has been a blessing in so many ways. Although, for some area residents, the rains were not welcome. We feel their greif from dealing with flooded homes. May they get the needed help to recover from their damages. The rain hasnt stopped many anglers from fishing. I have had several customers comment, the rain has improved their fishing, especially catching catfish. Jeff and his grandson stopped in to stock up on worms. Jeff mentioned, they were catching catfish in Ranger Creek. The run off water, into the Creek, has made their catfishing better. Another Ranger Creek customer, Theia, said they were catching crappie and catfish around their dock, in Ranger Creek. Ron Keeling, from Fort Gibson, said the crappie fishing has picked up in his dock, which is located in Ranger Creek. He has been using minnows. Catfishing near Taylors Ferry has been rated as slow to good. It is best to use cut shad and fish about 12 foot deep. Its a wait and see situation, as to, how much effect the rains will have on, Fort Gibson lake. I hope the Lake will come up enough, to help with generation or maybe opening a few flood gates, below the Dam. The extra water, in the river, will only inprove fishing conditions. So far, the lake has came up just a foot. We should know in the next few days how much the lake will rise. Anglers are still catching sandbass, catfish and a few stripers, below Fort Gibson Dam. No spoonbills have been mentioned. I will post breaking news and updates. Have a good day everyone...
