Here is an extract from the update of Leo Olukokun Adedeji Oladipo, please read and ponder over this piece ...............My idea about the Leo Club prior to my joining was a place where people can contribute their little quota to community development; a place where every little treasure dropped means a lot and could serve as a means of happiness through its desired priority of meeting of needs and of course a fun-giving avenue. I have however come to understand that the founding fathers modeled the organization to be a life building centre; a place where youths are to be refined into better individuals and future leaders; a place where leadership traits were to be polished; a provider of needed experience for growth and development; a giver of diverse kinds of opportunities for talents utilization and optimization; a bureau where time is exchanged for self discovery and rightful positioning. Hence a member who hasn’t woken up to the realities of the huge profiting opportunities lurked all around the system is not only a time waster but a nuisance who has punctured and deflated the robust purpose and objectives of the organization................ If after putting so much into service act and we couldn’t/didn’t develop our abilities, then we are of most men miserable. When a youth cannot get needed inspiration in a system to achieve/do something positive then it’s either the system is faulty or the individual is covered in a visionless envelope or perhaps suffers from the effect of misplaced priority scourge. We mustn’t be too blinded and overwhelmed by the fun we catch or be drowned in the sweetness of fellowship but must also be fully equipped for mental and physical development. I therefore strike the gong for a mind awakening as the earnest creature awaits the manifestation of a generation of sound leaders; one who has being maximally tutored in the rigorous tenets and values of the Leo Club. HOW WILL I DO THIS? by well arranged and organized professional and certificate courses seminars that can boost up the C.Vs of any member anywhere E.g The Federal Government in collaboration with the Central Bank of Nigeria E.D.C Scheme
