Good Morning, today I want to discuss a quote I read. Reasons for not living the way we want to live are personal mythologies–stories that perpetuate our excuses–and are seldom rooted in any legitimate circumstance - John Kitchin This quote really resonated with me because I spend a great deal of time working with people who are not satisfied with an area of their lives and are looking for ways to make things better. Through talking things through we often end up where this quote begins. The stories we tell ourselves often paralyze us in patterns of dysfunction. When faced with change and what it takes we often resort to the stories we have told ourselves over our life time as a way to avoid the discomfort and fear of change. These stories are often not truths but opinions and perception that dont give us a clear view. I challenge you to ask yourself what stories are you believing that are not based in legitimate circumstances that continue to hold you back from happiness, health and love. I challenge you even further to discard those stories and begin a new story that will lead you to the emotional health you desire. Believing the best for you, Geannine
