Good Morning! w/ Music- Happy September Saturday! Its not the 90s anymore kids. The days of rock stars are no more.Theres a very small percentage of musicians nowadays that make good money as musicians, and an even smaller percentage of those musicians that actually deserve it. With all the different ways to download and listen to music and the fact that 4 people decide what plays on the radio to the masses, its hard for new bands to break out and become discovered. BUT, this is why they travel and play live for us! And for reasonable, if not a ridiculously low price. So this morning, check out your local music venues and go see a show! Heres my top suggestions for the Triad area: At the Cats Cradle- Tennis Music 9/24 $15.00, The Black Lips, The King Khan, and The Shine Brothers 10/03 $17.00, New Politics, Bad Suns, and Some Kind of Wonderful 10/25 $20.00, Sharon Van Etten 10/23 $17.00, and SOHN 11/02 14.00 At Local 506- In The Valley Below 9/30 $7.00 At Lincoln Theatr- J Roddy Walston and the Business, and Fly Golden Eagle 9/28 $17.00, Capital Cities 10/25 $25.00, and Method Man w/ Redman 11/21 $35.00 At DPAC- Jason Isbell with Sturgill Simpson 11/6 $35.00 At Ziggys- J Roddy Walston and The Business, and Fly Golden Eagle 11/4 $15.00 Ive shared most of the bands on older posts, so heres a new one and a show I think Ill check out this week- Tennis recently release their new album, Ritual in Repeat. Its a great listen and cheers to this husband/wife team from Denver! Heres Needle and the Knife from Tennis. https://youtube/watch?v=RWJoaWQmraM
