Good Morning, we are praying and fasting from secular TV except news(your choice) & any food that we know is not good for us and yet desire. This is our 14th day. I send out a devotional reading w/scripture everyday to keep us in accord & in the Word. If God places it upon your heart please join us as we seek for a deeper relationship with God our Father. DAY (14) Father, I praise You and worship You in Spirit and truth. I thank You for putting on my heart to pray and fast to seek You with all my heart. I pray that with the help of the Holy Spirit I will be able to lay aside every weight and sin that would keep me out of sincere and earnest fellowship with You. I know that sin is not dead in me, but I pray that I may grow to be dead to sin , so that I will not bear the deadly fruits of sins. It is my prayer that as I grow daily in You and remain in Your Word sin will have no power over me. I am thankful that the blood of Jesus is an ample provision daily interceding on my behalf. I am more than a conqueror through the blood. I pray to bedead indeed to sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.(Romans 6:11) This is my prayer in the matchless name of Jesus and so it is, amen. Gods dynamic amazing grace teaches us to say no to ungodliness and worldly lusts and this powerful grace inspires us to live a godly life in a very ungodly world!! Also the devil cannot make you sin. He can tempt you but you need to resist him. (Titus 2:11-15) SCRIPTURES TO STUDY -READ AND SHARE! 1. Acts 3:19Repent ye therefore and be ye converted, that your sins may be blotted out,when times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord. 2.Acts 3:26Unto you first God ,having raised up his Son Jesus, sent him to bless you in turning away every one of you from his iniquities. 3. Romans 6:1-2What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein? 4. Romans 6:22But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life. 5.1st Timothy 2:19Let everyone that names the name of Christ depart from iniquity. 6.Romans 6:6Knowing this, that our old man was crucified with him ,that the body of sin might be destroyed ,that henceforth we should not serve sin. The old person you use to be in Adam is dead and gone and now you are new being in vital union with the Risen Son of God. A brand new creation in Christ!! We are free from the guilt of sin, the penalty of sin, the power of sin but not yet from the presence of sin. Therefore we must be alert and resist temptation and be sober-minded in this present evil world. We must pursue holiness each day and walk in the holy fear of God and hate sin. We must be diligent not to compromise with sin! Flee sin and follow after righteousness! 1st Tim.6:11But thou ,O man of God, flee these things and follow after righteousness ,godliness, faith , love ,patience ,meekness. Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life. When Christ saves us we receive a new life from above! We receive a new mind-set and a new desire for holiness and a new sensitivity concerning sin ,meaning we now hate what we use to love which was sin and we have now within us a new desire to please God. It is called biblical salvation from sins bondage! We forsake the old life and break with the past and depend on the power of the Holy Spirit to overcome sin and do Gods will. We are partakers of the divine nature having escaped the corruption of the world through lust. (2nd Peter 1:4) As believers we are set apart and now different because we are saved. Our focus and priorities must be on pleasing the sinless holy Son of God! The Father paid an enormous price to redeem us from sin .We were redeemed by the costly precious blood of Christ, like that of a lamb without defect or blemish. Christ paid the debt we owed for breaking the righteous demands of the law. The perfect flawless One died for the ungodly in order to set us free and make us His own. So let us pursue a holy life that brings honor to the Holy One.
