Good News! I went to the doctor(s) at the hospital and they told me that I am 90-95% back to normal in my lungs. My oxygen was 99% and everything looked great. The thing I have to watch out for is the scarring in my left lung. About 1/6 of my left lung is scarred/scarring and they cant see if it is healed or healing. Either way, I will be taking it easy these next few weeks when it comes to playing trombone and allowing the scarring to heal. As for the diagnosis, the only thing the doctors know is that I had sepsis bacterial pneumonia and do not know the organism that caused the infection and complications. We are waiting to see the results on several cultures and that will determine if I need more preventive medication to eradicate possible dominant viruses so this doesnt happen again. All in all, Im happy to be healthy again. It was great to play in an ensemble today and to practice for a little bit. Looking forward to getting back to playing and balling in the future. Also, I love my wife Katie Seybert. Wouldnt be here without her. Love you sweetheart!
