Good News NSW P-Platers Provisional drivers (P1 and P2) are prohibited from driving high performance vehicles. The condition applies to provisional licences issued on or after 1 August 2014. From 1 August 2014, a high performance vehicle will be defined as a vehicle which: Has a power to tare mass ratio (PMR) of greater than 130 kilowatts per tonne or Has had an engine modification, or Is listed in the Roads and Maritime Services document Novice Driver- High Performance Vehicle Restrictions (coming soon) as a high-performance vehicle. rms.nsw.gov.au/licensing/gettingalicence/car/prohibited-vehicles-1-august.html
