Good News!! We had a check up with Anas epilepsy specialist today at Childrens Hospital. Anas speech since August has improved by 50%, along with her mobility levels, she regained 12 pounds she lost, her head banging from her autism has improved, and best of all....her seizures are droping from 20+ a day to just several a day! They have improved to the point her doctor is will to decrease her seizure meds by 25% and let me continue her essential oil regime I have been using!!! Whoop Whoop! This is the first time in 4 years we have been able to titrate her meds down for seizures instead of up! I have been giving Ana 2oz of Young Livings MindWise for cognitive health daily, misting her multiple times during the day with Bergamot & Lavender and just last month I started applying Frankincense to the crown of her head, the base of her skull and the temporal region of her brain. As many of you know, Ana came to our family at age eight from a horrifically past abuse situation, that she was removed from at age four. She lived in a childrens medical center and until she came to our family at age 8. She functioned on the 3-4 year old level and her doctors at the time told us, This is the best she will ever be. Not long after her seizures returned and over time she dropped to the 18 month cognitive level at age 13. I am crying as I type this. My princess is gaining skills back and showing improvement they said we would never see.
