Good Saturday morning, Hopkins County area......what about this weather? Hasnt it been awesome the last few days?.....a very pleasant 62 degrees at my house this morning, and expect a high of 80 degrees today, with mostly cloudy skies and a 10% chance of rain.....a low tonight of 59 degrees and another 10% chance of rain, and a high on Sunday of 75 with a band of thunderstorms moving through, expected to bring some rain! Well keep you posted of any severe weather developments......A large crowd attended yesterdays Annual Chamber of Commerce Golf Tournament and another large crowd of cattlemen attended the NETBIO Beef-Up Program at the Hopkins County Civic Center.....Meanwhile a number of baseball and softball games were in action and a large crowd of supporters attended the Annual Miller Grove FFA Stew and Auction, in support of the youth!.....And today, weve got a wide variety of events on tap as there are Dutch Oven Cooking Classes, The Huge Dannas Bridal Fair, a Warrior Run, and a Masonic Beans & Cornbread Dinner in Sulphur Bluff....and, of course, if none of those strike your fancy just get outside and work in the garden or flowerbeds, or take a drive down any country road....its certainly an awesome time to be alive in Hopkins County!.....I spent a few minutes last night just sitting outside gazing at the stars, beneath a beautiful moon and pleasant temperatures.....the perfect way to unwind, following a hectic schedule.....The Psalmist reminds us in the 107th Psalm....verses 21-22, Oh, that men would give thanks to the Lord for His goodness, and for His wonderful works to the children of men! Let them sacrifice the sacrifices of thanksgiving, and declare His works with rejoicing. Lest we ever forget, these wonderful blessings of life come from The Father, who loves us and provides for us daily.....We should be thankful and give Him the praise and glory He so richly deserves.....Have a blessed day, a thankful heart, and commune with The Father, as you enjoy his rich blessings!
