Good Saturday morning! Our current batch of rain in southeast - TopicsExpress

Good Saturday morning! Our current batch of rain in southeast Minnesota, northeast Iowa, and southwest Wisconsin will continue to push to the east early this afternoon, weakening as it moves along. Look for showers to wind down in Rochester before and points to the west and south by 1:30 and then locations to the east between 2 and 3:00 PM. There may be an isolated sprinkle beyond that late in the afternoon or evening and then a couple of spotty showers may redevelop late this evening through about 4:00 Sunday morning. With extensive cloud cover around today, high temperatures will be held down a bit with upper 70s to near 80 degrees expected. Sunday looks much drier for us, but quite a bit warmer. In fact, it looks to be the warmest day of 2014! A warm front will move through later tonight, ushering in warm, humid air for Sunday with mostly sunny skies and high temps around 90 degrees. The warmest temp to date in Rochester has been 86 this summer. South winds tomorrow will begin gusting to 20mph by noon and for the afternoon hours, helping to stir the air a bit, but it will still feel like its 95 to 98 at times with the humidity factored in. There may be a few evening thunderstorms tomorrow and for much of Monday as a cold front slowly pushes through the area. Scattered showers and thunderstorms will ride along that front Tuesday and Wednesday as it will stall out and then push through the region Wednesday night. Highs Monday will be near 80 Monday and then in the mid to upper 70s Tuesday and Wednesday. Well have sunny skies next Thursday and Friday with highs in the 70s and lower levels of humidity in the air. Have a great day!
