Good Sols Day morning ALL. THANX to Peter Gorman for bringing this technology to my attention. Take the time to watch this. Technology for the betterment of the human condition. When I was a social educator for the Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney I used to tell my senior classes that one way we could repair spinal cord injury would be to have the computing power to trace the nerve impulses along the spinal cord thereby being able to reconnect the nerves using microsurgery. This was 30 years ago when microsurgery was in its infancy. Now, it seems, the door is slightly ajar. If a similar device had been available when I finally lost the use of my left leg in the 70s, relegating me to a chair, I would have been the first in line to become a bionic walker!!! Regardless of the concessions made since IYDP in 81, mobility/access is still easier if you can stand on your own 2 feet. I consider this man very brave!!!
