Good Sunday Evening! A very select few of us in the eastern sections saw some early morning rain showers, a majority of it was confined to areas around Richmond and Norfolk. A select few of us in western sections saw some snow showers earlier this afternoon. While, the majority of us, just stayed dry with a mix of clouds and sunshine. Overnight, expect the blend of clouds and sun to fade to gradually clearing skies. Lows dip to around freezing for majority of the area. Behind the cold front that passed this afternoon, winds will range from 7-14mph with the highest speeds in the mountainous locations and along the highest ridgetops where you could find gusts up to 45mph. If you have travel plans this evening, be mindful that there is a Wind Advisory for Greyson County for wind gusts exceeding 50 miles an hour until Monday AM. Martin Luther King, Jr. day on Monday brings sunshine and rather pleasant temperatures for this time of the year. Winds will still be rather breezy first thing Monday AM before calming later in the day. Highs will reach the low-mid 50s. Mountains remain in the mid-upper 40s. Looking ahead, Tuesday brings a little more cloudiness during the day. Our best shot at rain this week comes Tuesday PM into Wednesday. Thursday and Friday appear mostly cloudy. Next weekend looks to be another mixture of clouds and sun.
