Good Sunday evening to all my fellow Bluff Rats. Boy this weekend - TopicsExpress

Good Sunday evening to all my fellow Bluff Rats. Boy this weekend sure flew by. Dang it ! I feel very blessed. While everyone was rushing around trying to get all those last minute things together before school starts. I didnt and I dont have too. Yippie Skippie. My oldest , my Aggiegirl Emily is on the ball and has handled everything herself and will be moving back to Aggieland next week and as a Junior and for the first time in an apartment instead of that large closet they call a dorm room. She will have a real kitchen this time . I am so glad she learned how to cook. I am going to miss her ,but I have learned to adjust to this new season of her life now that I have had a few years to get used to it. Gigem Go Aggies . I am ready for some football. Whoop!!! My youngest daughter will be finishing her last 2 years of high school at home online with K12 online public school. I hate to say it but I am not going to miss it. Its a long story and I dont feel like getting in a rant over it so all I will say is Sarah Bear has ADD and needs more instruction then the overcrowded classrooms and overworked teachers can give her. She has been misunderstood since Junior High and although I am a bit scared of trying something new. I feel lSarah , Mom and Dad made the right decision . She is happy she can keep her nose piercing and her blue hair. So onward and upward we go. Go SarahBear show everyone just how smart you really are Baby. Its so cool that we dont have to go shopping for school clothes. Yippie !!! Hey as long as she has her Led Zepplin, Rob Zombie, and other assorted band tees she is happy, happy , happy. I am so proud of both my girls. I have tried to raise them to always be happy with who they are and to never feel like they have to follow a crowd. I have taught them to stand tall and be proud and never feel ashamed of who and what they are. Of course that has not always made it easy for them at school. But in the long run it has made them light years ahead of other kids in maturity. Being raised in a home daycare setting has also showed them that having a baby is not a fairytale where everything is perfect and everyone lives happily ever after. They know how much hard work it takes to raise a child. Emily is in no hurry to have a family and is way too focused on her education and future career in wildlife and fisheries to give it much thought although she did tell me she wants all boys, she is not a girly girl and doesnt any either. Sarah has informed me that she never wants to have babies or change anymore diapers . She intends to adopt older children later on in life. One of the things that we used to say to our girls when they were growing up is that they couldnt get married until they were 30. We were kidding kinda sorta, but after watching Mom do daycare for the last 10 years they are very serious. Well I dont even know where I am going with this, but I can tell you this. If you have children dont worry about the stuff you can buy them, worry about the stuff you can teach them. When all is said and done that is what they will remember you for. Have a good night sleep full of the sweetest dreams .May God Bless you and be with you even when you dont want him to be. Stand tall, be proud and just a little bit weird.
