Good Sunday mornin....i woke with somethn in my mind instantly and its being directed by God. A talk with my closest frend April lasnite, about her mom, revealed sumthn and i need to change direction on prayers. B4 i go on with that, i was reminded of sumthn when i woke and i have a true story to tell....bear with me on this, its worth readin and will lead up to new prayers and why, for Miss Libby and family................When i was 17 and had my first real job, it was the small group i hung with at the time, starting a construction business. They were all in their 20s and were excellent carpenters. So our fearless leader, Todd Bracket, got the six of us together and we started T.B. Construction and we framed over 90% of the new houses (in the late 80s and early 90s) in the Mauldin and Simpsonville areas. Well, Todd eventually got very bad on a Heroin addiction which he hid for quite awhile. Two years into our business, it began to show and got very crucial. We were losing contracts and hardly ever worked. Everythng was about to fold and i was already lookin for another job. Someone convinced Todd to get help. So, he left for Maryland, to his Aunts house, to get CHRISTIAN help with his serious, life-threatening addiction. Well, we all lost contact with him and we all found other jobs, etc, until one day, 2 months later, one of us, Eric Richardson my closest frend at the time, got a very excited call from Todd, totally out of the blue. Todd exclaimed that he had been saved by the Good Lord, and was born-again, and was VERY excited about gettn back to Greenville to get the company goin again, and to share with us all about Jesus and how we can live more happily and have a construction company stronger than ever cuz God would help us to prosper...I mean it was like day and night the difference in him. He, or none of us had EVER even mentioned Gods name in one anothers company. All we did was work and smoke weed like there was no 2moro. Eric told me Todd sounded completely different and couldnt stop talking about God.....Well, Todd was to leave the next day, and hit the road back down here to us anbd get thngs started and he was SO VERY EXCITED about the future and mainly sharing his new found love for God with us all.... On his way down here, on Interstate 81, Todds car, for no reason at all, left the road, and slammed into a tree, and burst into flames. Fortunatley he died on impact becuz the entire car and all in it burned to the ground..... Now, we didnt understand at the time, its just another senseless death, right? Thats how we all viewd it BECUZ we didnt have God in our lives and we, like most people, leaned on our OWN understanding and NOT the truth that only comes from a relationship with God......my next post will reveal WHY i woke up with this in my head, and why it was obviously refreshed in my mind FROM GOD......back in a few minutes to change a certain prayer for Miss Libby , then u will all understand :) R.I.P.
