Good Sunday morning Crusaders!! We made it home last night around 11! Unfortunately it looked like our floor at ACH (7 south) needed some room & since Carson had cleared his chemo & his fluids, there was no reason for us to stay an extra night. Good for us, not good for those being transported to that floor. Carson took the chemo great (like he has been), no road blocks YAY!!! BUT he is wearing a cast on his right foot for 4 weeks. He had been favoring it for some time, we had X-rays done, then an MRI. It was determined he had a small stress fracture in a bone. Doctors say it could be caused by the same chemo that gave him vocal chord paralysis, vincristine. Theyve lowered the dose of that & hes in his little red cast, learning to walk with it. Its a waterproof walking cast. Other than that, hes in great spirits & were happy to be home. We return on Tuesday for counts then the following Monday for one more admission for this cycle.
