Good Thursday morning. We break now the next several days and take - TopicsExpress

Good Thursday morning. We break now the next several days and take a look to our next storm threat for Monday. Another chilly day is on tap for Lebanon County. Bright sunny skies from the warm compounds of you home may give you false hope that the sun means it is warm.. but it is NOT. Daytime highs will struggle to reach 20 degrees. While it will not be nearly as windy as it was 24 hours ago, a slight breeze will keep the wind chill values at or near 0 degrees. Tonight, another very cold night with overnight lows dipping into the low teens. Late, while most are sound asleep (12-5 am) a few snow showers are possible in Lebanon and surrounding counties that may produce a coating to as much as an inch of fresh snow. If you will be out overnight working/traveling use care and caution. Friday and area of high pressure to our South will be building in, and in return bringing slightly warmer temps to the county. Not a warm up by any means... but upper 20s are much better than low teens. We are keeping our eyes on the next potential storm system that currently looks to impact Lebanon County in the Monday time period. We are several days away from this event and currently from the past several runs of the computer guidance it appears the guidance is far from being in agreement. (SHOCKER). One thing I can stress is that some key guidance we look to for Southern stream systems continues to indicate this may be more in the form of wintery precipitation vs wet. The concern I have is how much cold air remains in place and does the wintery precipitation remain snow, or does Ice issues become a concern? As always we will continue to keep our eyes on this next threat (and several other threats for mid to late week) and keep you all updated. For now, enjoy your cold Thursday everyone. ~Justin
