Good afternoon Dear Dallas and far beyond. A beautiful evening in Fort Worth....... sunlight mellow and soft as it begins its nightly descent into eternity. The wind is not as fervent as it was earlier in the day - still the touch of it is cool and the smell taunts me with the possibility of future days filled with autumn, orange, red and brown leaves and occasional bursts of flowers lingering to remind us we do after all live in Texas. went to chapel at Brite Divinity School in Fort Worth today where my beautiful DebiSu is a student. Jim Milulski - our interim pastor @ COH was the preacher - profound and gentle as usual - celebrating all the saints whove gone before us. A lovely and thoughtful time of worship. DebiSu and I got married last Saturday. Someone asked me if I feel differently now - the truth is I actually do - I cant explain it exactly - I just know something has changed - shifted - been transformed inside me and all around. As I sit writing just across the room at the kitchen table DebiSu is working on an ethics paper due tomorrow - she is incredibly intense and beautiful - her face changes into many different expressions as she writes, corrects and edits - once in awhile sounds of frustration come forth from deep within her. Warmth and joy embrace me as I watch her - the love I feel for her and from her promises to empower and delight us until we are called home. I trust this. Believe this. Desire this. I love our lives - our walk together through this wilderness we call the world - our partnership in ministry and community - our work loving the world. She appreciates sensuality intertwined with spirituality - loves good food and strong Louisiana coffee - laughter and good times - she likes spontaneity and surprises - graciousness and kindness - I pray everyday to be worthy of this great gift God has brought into my life. I am challenged by her example - to be a better person then I probably am. Thank you, God and family and friends by blessing our wedding with your presence and good will. Having both our families there - my Wichita and Louisiana families and DebiSus daughter and brother were truly gifts from heaven. Thanks to all our guests - your joy for us was apparent and profoundly moving. A special thanks for Jim Miltulski our pastor who officiated our ceremony - another amazing treasure
