Good afternoon, I have decided to put my name forward for the position of Male Deputy Leader. Here is a bit of my history with the Green Party of Ontario: I have been a member of the GPO since 2009. That year I became the President of the Toronto Centre CA. At this time, I still hold this position, but am actively seeking a replacement. I was the Toronto Centre Candidate in 2011 & again in 2014 where I received 1,123 & 2,265 votes respectively. Shortly after the 2011 election I was asked to join Shadow Cabinet as the Critic for the Ministry of Community & Social Services. In 2013 I became the GTA Male Rep. on the Provincial Executive. I have taken a leading role in promoting the issue campaign of One School System, was part of the Green organizing team for WorldPride 2014 and am a member of the 2014 AGM Planning Committee. Each one of the experiences has been a great learning opportunity for me and an opportunity to share our message and vision with the people of Ontario. I would love to continue this work as the Male Deputy Leader, but to do so, I will need your support. If elected as Deputy Leader some of my priorities for the position will be to increase awareness of Green polices throughout the province and work to strengthen and improve the visibility of the Shadow Cabinet. According to the Constitution of the GPO I need to be nominated by a minimum of 10 members in good standing from 3 of the 6 geographical regions recognized by the Green Party of Ontario.
