Good afternoon, I hope everyone is well. As I sat on the beach - TopicsExpress

Good afternoon, I hope everyone is well. As I sat on the beach this morning watching as the tide retreated, leaving behind a smooth and crisp beach, virgin sand, a blank canvas, waiting for me to make my mark, I was struck by how this represented how we should treat our lives. Twice a day the tide comes in and washes away the debris of day, the marks and imprints made by people and animals interaction with it. Some things get washed away completely and others leave their mark, a change on the landscape, almost imperceptible but there nonetheless. The cause of the change may have been swept back into the sea but the change is there to be built upon. I saw that I too twice a day allowed the sea to wash away the debris of the day, leaving behind only the changes made or the lessons learned. I also saw how I began and ended my day with a fresh and smooth beach, my clean slate, ready for me to make my mark. When you start each day, at least, with a clean slate it fills you with an expansive feeling. There stretching out in front of you is this expanse of untouched golden sand, waiting for you to do whatever you choose. The beauty of starting with a clean slate is you can see how far you have come, you can see clearly what you have created today or in that moment as it is not just a jumble of footprints that lose their distinguishable pattern. By allowing the daily process of washing away you also allow the sea to throw up the odd gem or treasure for you, which once again is more discernible against a blank canvass. Reflect on how this could work for you in your life, you may find you are drawn more to another element but don’t let that distract you from the message. I work with the sea, it is my grounding element so it is often where I draw my analogies. So find something that works for you, morning and evening, visualise, meditate go for a walk, have a shower whatever gives you that still time to reflect and let go. In the mornings I find this is quite a quick process, I have already cleared most of the previous day that evening, my dreams would further filter and release and then by morning I am usually totally clear or may have a little debris to just release, I then visualise the expanse of the day. I am able to approach each issue with fresh eyes, the lessons from the day before have been learnt bringing wisdom to today and the drama has been left behind. In the evening or afternoon, it is a longer process as there is more to release but usually only about 20 minutes, I usually do this when I get home from work so I can enjoy my evening without it being tainted by unresolved issues of the day. When we give ourselves the gift of a fresh start then we can begin to give others that too. Have a wonderful day lots of love and laughter Michele xxxxx
