Good afternoon, This week the Airport Interim Improvement Works has seen the commencement of a new contractor, Magic Touch Painting, to provide some fresh new colours to the internal arrivals and check-in areas. They have already completed the ceiling painting and over the weekend will start on the walls in the arrivals section. Jaxon Contractors are back on board for Stage 2 of the Airport Terminal Renovations. They will begin modifying the bulkhead between the café and departures lounge ready for the new concertina door to be installed. Several new concertina doors will be installed in the departures area to cater for domestic and international security arrangements. The temporary wall will then be removed to open up the whole area within the sterile zone. Just a reminder the temporary wall between the café and departures lounge will remain in place until the project is complete. We appreciate everyone’s patience during these works and hope that everyone is excited as we are to see the final changes completed over the next couple of weeks.
