Good afternoon all. I am after some advice if possible, from members who are currently working in Iraq, work for Companies who provide security / PSD teams in Iraq, or who have extensive experience in Iraq. I have been out of the Army for just over 2 years now and in that time I have been doing Maritime Security. As most of you know, this is generally adhoc work and as such I am very keen to try and secure a contract working in Iraq, providing me with a more secure job and regular pay ect. I have been trying to get out to the Sandpit for over a year now, unfortunately still no joy. I left the Army as a Sgt within an Airborne Regiment after 14 years service. I have completed my CP course with CRG and have my SIA Frontline CP Badge. I have all Marsec quals as well as a Hostile Medic qualification. I also have several qualifications in ICT. I have registered on all the sites for the large companies as well as sending CVs. Unfortunately, due to being out on the water, I have missed several HECPO courses with CRG, hence why I have been unable to deploy with them as of yet. If anyone has any advice for me, or even a pointer as to who maybe recruiting at the moment, or shortly, please do comment or even pm me. If required I can send a CV immediately. I understand the market is flooded, however I feel as though maybe I am missing something as I feel that I have a well written, strong CV. All advice or help will be greatly received.
