Good afternoon, everyone! It is quite the nice evening for us across the Pine Belt. A few high clouds will help to make a beautiful sunset, too. The rain returns Wednesday, details on that tonight at 5, 6, 630 and 10. More importantly, I would like to dispel some rumors floating around then ole social media interwebs... Please DO NOT share anything claiming that any scientists or scientific entity/outlet is suggesting the earth will go dark for the month of December. It is false. There wont be a three-day eclipse, either. Nor a two week span where the entire earth will be covered by clouds. Snow wont fall in the Caribbean. Volcanoes arent going to melt Alaska. Oh, and the atmosphere isnt getting so saturated that it is going to float away. I know that when a title says NASA confirms... yadda yadda yadda it is tempting to just take it as face value but please - PLEASE! - think before you share. And if you have heard about any of the above rumors, rest easy. Those are all rumors and completely false.
