Good afternoon everyone! Since 1 October 2013, the Minimum Allowable Wage (MAW) for foreign domestic helpers (FDH) in Hong Kong has been increased from $3,920 to $4,010 per month. The food allowance in lieu of free food for FDHs has also been increased from not less than $875 to not less than $920 per month. Contracts signed on or before 30 September 2013 with the existing MAW of $3,920 and food allowance of not less than $875 per month will still be processed, provided that the applications can reach the Immigration Department on or before 28 October 2013.
