Good afternoon everyone! This is Lauren Lettelier with your Daily Crime Report! Captain Pogue called in sick this morning so I’ll TRY to take his place today... A couple reported that sometime last night, unknown persons stole their 2002 Toyota Camry from their yard around the 13,000 block of SW 3rd Place in Ocala. The reportees say the keys were left in the ignition. After running the tag, it was determined that the Ocala Police Department towed the vehicle in the early morning hours after they had a pursuit with the vehicle, lost it and then located it abandoned. The victims were notified of the recovery and the investigation is on-going. Units responded to SW Peach blossom Street in reference to a disturbance. Upon arrival, it was discovered that Doraliz Cruz had gotten into an argument with her mother who she lives with. The mother stated that Ms. Cruz then threatened to harm herself and fled on foot. Contact was made with Ms. Cruz via the phone and she stated she did not want to harm herself but did not want to be found by law enforcement. The search for her is still on-going. John Cronin was arrested after stabbing his brother in the leg with a small knife. The brothers were in a verbal argument that turned physical when they were at a gathering in the 7900 block of SW 150th Street. The victim was not familiar with the area and could not give good directions to his location. AIR1 responded and was able to locate the victim in a wooded area. The victim was transported to the hospital for treatment. John Cronin originally fled the area on foot and was located later and placed into custody. An unknown suspect or suspects unlawfully entered a residence at 4700 block of SW 114th Place through an unlocked glass sliding door. They stole electronics and jewelry valued at $1,500. And an unknown person or persons cut the perimeter fence of Bill’s Lawn Mower and Tractor located at 1927 NE 90th Place. Once inside the fence, suspect(s) removed a riding lawn mower from outside the building. The loss there is estimated at approximately $450.00. That’s all for our Monday, folks!
