Good afternoon everyone! Today is the 8th anniversary of Grandpa! Mommy has told me so much about my Grandpa. I never was able to meet him. I know he would of like me a lot. And I would of brought smiles to him. My Grandpa had acute leukemia. He was diagnose with it aug. 2006 It was very hard news for him and mommy.. They made agreement that they were going to make the most of it and keep a positive attitude toward his illness. And thats what they did. Mommy travel for one yr seeing Grandpa and mommy call him everyday and always would talk to him. Grandpas leukemia was very aggressive. He was able to be in remission for 8 weeks before he relapse again. Grandpa went thru alot. He endure 14 rounds of kemo. Thru his whole illness he always remain positive and never gave up. He always kept his chin up with a smile on his face. His acute leukemia was just to aggressive We could never get him back in remission to be able to get a stem cell transplant. He wanted it so bad. At the end his cancer was in his spinal fluids which was not good. Grandpa was 57 years old. There is picture of my mommy and Grandpa for her 40th Birthday. As you can see they both had big big smiles on there faces. I know my Grandpa is at peace now. I love you Grandpa! I know me and mommy be reunited with you some day. Life is short!
