Good article on the problems that diabetics face. I think it misses how terrible you can feel (both physically and mentally) when blood sugars are high and you have done everything right to control them. It does take a daily toll on your body. I always find it funny to hear non-diabetics try to talk about a disease that they know little about and think they have the answers to my disease. With that being said - the article does strike me as a little whiny - in some ways diabetes is what it is and there are far worse diseases out there. It is a struggle somedays particularly if you are insulin dependent but most people wouldnt know that I am a diabetic.
