Good beautiful morning!!! Been reading about the hours before Jesus was nailed to that Cross!!! As I read this I got to thinking about the punishment for crimes back in those times. You screw up and they nailed you to a tree. This made me think of the very act of that. Can you imagine stealing something, embezzling money, killing someone, raping someone, doing dope, etc...and your punishment for these crimes is getting nails hammered into your hands and hung up in front of the world to die a horrific death on a tree, a cross!!! Jesus wasnt guilty of anything, nothing and this is how He was treated!!!! This is how our Savior was sentenced to die!!! An innocent man condemned to death. I cant imagine how His familys heart broke during this trial. His friends (the disciples) had to watch their best friend die and there was absolutely nothing they could do but watch. This made me think about how unfair we think our life is at times. Made me ashamed of myself. All we are commissioned to do is further His Kingdom. He died for us, for you and me!!! And all that is ask of us is to share Him with others. Not to much to ask is it!!! After all He died for us, so we could live. As I think about that day so many many years ago it humbles me and makes me want to do better today than I did yesterday. My hope is that He will sign His Name at the end of this day. Lets not let His death be for nothing...He has risen and He is alive in us!!! Lets show Him how much we honor and love Him. Let His light shine in us and through us because He is our hope!!! He is our Father!!! He is our Jesus that lived, then died, THEN ROSE AGAIN!!! Jesus aint on that tree anymore!!! He is at the right hand of God and He is our bridge!!! So this day and everyday I thank God for that Cross!!!!
