Good bye California, and hello Sweden. I remember the day I arrived from Paris so clearly. On the bus with one year old Thais on my lap. Watching Lincoln Blvd through the dirty bus window, and thinking what are we doing? Its so ugly here! Little did I know of all the beauty that lays here, sometimes hidden, and sometimes blatant, but it has grabbed my heart, and it will never leave me. Beauty in the kindness and warmth of you, my friends. The support I needed in hard times, I had you who hugged me, and helped me back on my feet again. You are my family, and you always will be, no matter what. The nature walks that really connected me to the California soil, and made me love and feel at home here. The ocean that has endlessly inspired me in my photography. The drive and commitment of the girls teachers at Canyon Charter school. The Farmers Market with its bounty of fertile vegetables and fruits. But now, I need to go home to Sweden. And we are very blessed to have family there, and old friends who are greeting us with open arms. I cant wait to be there, and Im open for the new possibilities ahead. Life is not always easy, but its beautiful.
