Good day/Bad day: For good news we finalized the rental agreement for our townhome. It rented in one day and got $2,200/month vs. the listing of $2,100/month (the rental market is that tight right now - CRAZY). We are now officially landlords! Thanks to everyone who expressed interest or sent leads. In bad/annoying news the new post office took 15 days to key our new mailbox so we didnt have access to forwarded mail at the new Seattle house. They got the keys to us today and there is no mail in the box and only a few letters at the post office (including the forwarding acknowledgment). They are now checking with the carrier to find out where the mail has disappeared to. We checked the townhome box and it is empty, so it is definitely being forwarded. Im going out on a limb to guess it is buried in the carriers backyard. I didnt share my guess with the station manager, but he still took the took time to remind me that US Tort law protects the post office from undelivered mail due to negligence. I wish I could tell people at work something like that - sorry I messed up, but I have no responsibility to fix it and cant be held accountable. Oh government :-p
