Good demonstration tonight at Ayr Sketch Club by Scots artist Peter Nardini. Working in acrylics he talked through the process of his painting technique, using only acrylics and working on a black primed mount board...working from dark to light. Surprisingly, he confesses he never uses oils, but instead achieves textures by layering acrylics with dry brushes - taking up to a week to finish a painting. Looking forward to seeing the finished painting on his website in a week or two!
