Good evening FB friends. I will log off of FB as soon as I send this and do not plan to log on again until Christmas or next year. I enjoy FB because I can keep up with friends – classmates – family etc. So why am I signing off for a while? As many of you are aware I recently retired from the military. While in the military I was not an active participant in the political process because I felt I should not be. Now for the first time in my life I became actively (openly) involved with a candidate and politics. I must say I enjoyed the effort. Some posted how they hate politics. Another said it was like mushy Jell-O all jumbled together and a waste of time. You might not like politics and you might feel that you should ignore politics and perhaps decide not to vote. That is your choice but remember you can ignore politics but results of politics and the decisions politicians make will not ignore you. I’m going to sign off for a while to focus my attention on another project. I’m also signing off because I feel that I might have imposed much on some of you who just wish to catch up with family, friends and share a bit of humor. I respect that so I have decided to send Richard W. Kucksdorf to the woodshed. I hear rumors that the government wants to tax or regulate FB especially when it comes to politics and posts. (The government is big enough already) As much as you hate the political posts you can block any person who is posting. Back in the old days a politician would come to your town and stand on a stump and get everyone’s attentions and then answer questions or make a speech. Back in those days if you did not wish to listen to the politician on the stump you could just walk away. Today it is the same; you can block a person on FB which is the same as walking away from the person on the stump. In my opinion FB – twitter and other forms of social media are a great means to get words and ideas out. FB etc. is the 21st century stump. Again because I know I sent out many messages – liked and shared many many posts I wish to apologize for those that were offended and will take myself off of FB for a few weeks. My apology put out there for everyone - understand if I had it all to do over again I would do it all over again exactly the same. Thanks to all Veterans on Veterans Day. The 11th month on the 11th day on the 11th hour the first Great War ended and was to be the war to end all wars. Thanks for your service. Spend time with your family at Thanksgiving. Good luck to all hunters and be very safe. Merry Christmas to everyone and never forget why we celebrate Christmas. We do not celebrate so we can get gifts or give gifts. We celebrate because we received a wonderful gift and that was the birth of Jesus Christ. Thank you all very much. Talk to you soon!!
