Good evening FB friends, family and all those who might be able to help! I hope you all had a super Thanksgiving... and enjoyed far too much food. I also hope you have gotten off to a good Christmas start this crazy Black Friday.... We are ready for helpers and have a pretty good plan for next weekend. Our schedule has expanded a little bit thanks to buyers of our home... we will have the full weekend to get moved, not just Thursday and Friday. Here is the planned schedule: Thursday (daytime - daylight) - Anyone willing to help with barn/fence prep, we need YOU! Barn cleaning and fence clearing will be going on ALL DAY. We have lots of fence to clear (pulling the growth out of the fence) and checking for spots that need repair. Small garden clippers/snippers will be very useful. We will have a heavy duty weed eater and chainsaw on-site. Hedge trimmers may be good also... I dont have any at the moment. Thursday (evening) - Could use some extra muscle for a few hours... pulling all the carpet out of the house, and moving a majority of my tools from the old house to the new one Friday (daytime) - more of the fence clearing & repairing, barn/stall prep and finishing up the carpet & tack strip removal. Also looking for a good construction person to build a small platform for the water tank in the barn, I will have supplies - or get what is needed. If the floors are in good shape, painting will start on Friday... Cory DelSavio will be coordinating most of the painting (interior). If you like to paint... Friday (evening) - can start moving a few loads, maybe more if the floors in the bedrooms dont need significant refinishing. Mostly basement, garage items can move. Saturday - Big equipment day, we will be starting to put in new fence posts for the gates and spots that need repaired. Big thanks to David Hulch for volunteering to bring your big tractor... We are planning to bring most of the moving loads on Saturday if possible. Sunday will be final moving of any leftover items, and time for thanks to any and all that are able to lend a hand.... so Thankful for all those who have helped already.
