Good evening, Mr. Blehm. I just finished reading Fearless a few hours ago. I have only read a handful of military books, and didnt think any could ever effect me as much as Lone Survivor, but Fearless did just that, in a completely different way. I have been in the Air Force for almost 14 years, but as you can imagine, putting my life in harms way does not happen with my job the way it does with a SEAL. The closest my life has come to danger is probably the chow hall in Qatar. The story you told about Chief Browns life has made me want to be a better SNCO, a better leader, a better role model to my Airmen -- just a better person in general. Adams story was so inspiring, and heart wrenching, it reached out to me, as Im sure it has for countless others, and I now aspire to put my faith in God as Adam did during the difficult times, and be able to look at every obstacle as a mere stepping stone onto a greater platform of knowledge.
